NEMOZIN released

NEMOZIN is finally alive. We have many options for purchase: posters, cassettes, CD's, and deluxe packages, as well.

We would also like to announce that we're planning a tour down the West Coast of the US this summer, hitting Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada. More info as dates are confirmed, but we are incredibly excited to play for our fans and new people. A big thanks to the people who are making this tour, and have made this album, possible. Our gratitude is incalculable.

i really hope you all find something valuable in this, or something beautiful. Now i need to go collapse.

EPIGONE . part one

We are releasing part one of our 'Epigone' series today for free and ONLY to members of our current mailing list. i have a great deal of nostalgia for the days when i would have to comb places like eBay, Discogs, or drive for an hour (or more) to get to a musty record store in search of rare, import or out-of-print record from my favorite artists. The current climate of digital downloads doesn't really encourage this culture anymore, and i miss it. So we are releasing 'A Dream From The Penumbra' EP only to you few on our mailing list. This download will be available for only a month or two and then we're taking it down. These songs will most likely never be released again. From there, it's up to you. All of our music is released via a Creative Commons Attribution Noncommercial Share-Alike license: this means you can hand digital or CD copies of our music to your friends, families, make videos or remixes for songs, upload our music to blogs or torrent sites, as long as it remains FREE and under the SAME license as we distributed it, and we get credit as the original source.

So if you like this EP, keep it in circulation: torrent sites, blogs, giving copies away, upload homemade videos to our songs...whatever. But it will be from you all, not from us. If you don't like this EP, then you can let it die. It's in your hands now.

Epigone

I Z A L I T H  :  e p i g o n e

Happy Black Friday.

'Epigone' is a companion piece to 'Gnomon', our first full length released back in April. It contains tracks that couldn't find a home on that release, a third mix of 'Umbra' (thus completing the trilogy begun with the 'A Dream From The Penumbra' single from last year), and two (very rough, but energetic) live tracks taken from our very first performance in July.

Featured on this album are Cailin Audrey, Tristan Jardee, Steffen Selnes Karlsen (of The Maladronia Institute) and Cullen Page. Includes a lavish PDF booklet with artwork by lien.m, Cailin Audrey and Tristan Jardee.

Hope some of you enjoy it.

we have had the great fortune of playing with these fine Roman fellows twice now and each time is akin to a revelation. a truly superb set of creatures and infinitely precise in their music and form. catch up with them, and if you're local, try and catch their upcoming shows next month and also October.

A Dream From The Penumbra

we've released our second single, 'a dream from the penumbra'. it's a little closer to where we are, though more instrumentally oriented and open-ended. it can be acquired at our Bandcamp site here. Thanks, and we hope someone can enjoy it.

meanwhile, we're working hard on getting a forthcoming EP done...most likely it will appear at the beginning of December, followed by our full length before Christmas or after New Year's. stick around.

'A Memory'

So we've just released our first official piece of music over at our new bandcamp site: http://izalith.bandcamp.com/

'A Memory'. It's a very odd little piece. Not very close to what we've done the past few years...the original piece itself is six years old, and one of the very few pieces we still like from that time. So it feels right to put it out as our furtive fumble.

The single is three tracks, comes with a PDF, and is completely free. It is mixed poorly, mastered even more poorly, but...it's a fun little thing. We hope you feel the same way, and take the time to take a listen. Thank you.
